i caught a vid of one firing in all the different modes (it includes links to competing stores though so I'm not going to link to it here), and it definitely rips. Even on semi it appears that the trigger is set up to make it easy to fire quickly, which is normally pretty difficult on single trigger markers.

Its probably the one marker I'll ever own where the only mods I'll do it are external, and even that will only be a set of proper MP7 flip sights and the rip-clip/adapter. If not one of these, than a G3 ;)

Why do marker manufacturers continue to put on the fly switches so that you can switch from semi to ramping to auto and back easily. Makes it real pain for referees when some small amount or players will be switching back and forth all day.

Just my beeotch for today!!!!

Because thats what MILSIM players ask for. This one at least has a tourney lock that will lock it into semi, but the problem is, most places don't even bother to do a real tech inspection or check for ramping and stuff like that.

Selector switches or not Joe, I always see/hear plenty of ramping and auto going on at fields where its not allowed. I think its more that the insurance companies need to start allowing the fields to keep up with the times and allow various 15 bps capped modes. You've got all these markers out there with all these nifty little modes and with the exception of Cousins fields or outlaw ball(in this area anyway), you're not allowed to use them. 15bps is 15bps, I've never understood why it would be ok to shoot someone at that rate in semi, and not with ramping or full auto. Overshooting isn't exclusive to players using modes. Just ask Myth, he's the only guy who's ever overshot my ass with a PUMP lol.

I understand both sides, my problem is (Joe coughs nervously, while kicking at the dirt like a small child) I have family in insurance, and I'm also involved in running games so I also know the 3rd and 4th side and it just makes all the ref's jobs harder if its easier to change the 'fire type' on the fly.

Guess I just wanted a little whine with my breakfast this morning.

Maybe the switches will push some of the bigger fields to push for no limit on auto/semi/ramp from their insurers which would in turn make it easier for the smaller guys (although in the end with taxes, Insurance, up keep, etc. I don't think many field owners are going to be rich) if they speak with their money and move it to another company that may do biz with them.

Personally I own a mini and my wife owns an ego, and we've both capped them at 10 bps. LOL. And I plan on going slower I just bought a cocker to build a pump so (don't think i'm gonna be pumping 10 bps anytime soon). So, unless it's speedball, I guess I don't understand shooting 4 cases a day or more in the woods as I have seen some do.

Hope that all makes sense just typing as I think (and that's a real scary thing), and always remember if I ever say anything in type that makes you say what the...? ASK!

But, as far as insurance companies go, see the following video:

Insurance Company Rules - May be offensive to those in the insurance industry!
