Today me and a handfull of guys from the team went to the "phillippines" scenario game at Poco Loco, in Pottstown PA.

First of with let me say the 6 guys we had there did good and represented the Red Hawks well.

That being said, I am very disappointed in Poco Loco for what I consider to be a very poor scenario game. I had heard good things about the Poco Loco scenario games of the past so I was very surprised. The Scenario game started about an hour late and ended about an hour and a half early. Their paint was expensive but thats to be expected from most paintball fields. The game format was very odd, you were not allowed to advance you had to stay in the very small designated area for that "quarter". They broke the game up into quarters where for each quarter there were three flags and the Japs had to take the flags from the Americans. We were on the American side and it was such an unfair advantage for us. We were able to just sit back and long ball the crap out of the other team. Since we were not able to advance we had no other option, it was long ball or don't shoot. This got pretty boring, there were times were a couple teams opened fire on themselves out of boredom.
The last 20-30minutes of the game was the only good part when they actually let us attack each other at their castle. But that was cut short by an unexpected whistle saying the game was over which came to everyones surprise because there was suppose to be still another hour and a half.

On the bright side we got to play paintball in what turned out to be decent weather and we go to rack up some kills. We also got to hang our Urban Ops banner for the first time, which looked great.

So although there were a lot of negatives at least there still were some positive things about today.

Hey Guys,
Sounds like a crazy day of paintball, but at least you had a good day of play.

Their mission objectives were even more ridiculous... Their fields didn't seem that bad, the only problem was the general concept of the scenario. It would've been better if our team was outnumbered by the Japanese, because it would've brought more balance. Also, next time instead of having those stupid missions where we would hold one sector (which was literally 10 feet from everyone else) with 10 people for 5 minutes, they should have breakthrough missions where say 5 or 10 people are inserted by the Japanese base, and they have to try and breakthrough back to the American side. I'm definately not going there again anytime soon.

Hey Boomstik! Bout time you found your way over! We still need to work out the practice thing

If the things I've read about this game are right, it was done (produced and ran) by Ambush Alpha. I think maybe they're new at setting up the games. It may not be Poco Loco, it may be AA. Damn learning curve...

The fields were nice. They had some interesting fields with tons of cover. Maybe it wasn't poco loco, hopefully they will turn it around because it has the potential to be a good scenario.
