Being fairly new to paintball (two years in) I'm fascinated by the talk I hear of pump players and their magical markers. Does anyone have any personal experience they would be willing to share? It would be much appreciated.

You can ask Myth. He breaks out the cocker pump every now and then. He's pretty good with it too. He's the only one I know who can overshoot someone with a pump, ask Rogue.

I've got some old school pumps I'm looking to get rid of to either fund some things for my blazer or a new Phantom or Cocker pump.

There's a guy on the forums that goes by the name Freedom. He usually hold 1-2 pump games a month, one somewhere down in Toms River and the other on in Spotswood at Allstar. If you're interested I'll dig up one of hi threads for you.

I just picked up today 2 C3's from the local shop--he couldn't move them so I got them brand new for $75 each--had to jump on that even though I am not used to a pump marker, but when I hunt--It's a pump shotgun everytime, so I should be O.K. Only bad part is there is really no kind of upgrades I can do to them.

Well I decided to take them off the chopping block for now. I'm going to see about doing the projects I bought them for, just alittle more reading first.

I've got two 2k PGPs and a PMI Pursuit pistol. I'm going to see about making a double barreled hand cannon out of the two PGPs, and I was thinking about stuffing the Pursuit pistol into a woodstock and making it lever action. Both projects won't be completed anytime soon but everyone's gotta have dreams right!?

So; back to the pump thing. Rogue tells me I'm crazy, foolish, & a couple other things that I can't post here  (j/k Rogue) but I'm gathering all the parts I need to build a Pump AutoMag. My ideas for a PMag are alittle different though as I want to use an RT/Pro or EMag rail. Normally you don't see the PMags with anything but a AM/MM rail.

I'm waiting to hear back from the Airsmith for pricing and making sure what I have in mind is ok. Then we'll start! Hopefully he'll anno it for me too (Black & Green acid splash).

If not, I guess I'll have an extra Mag laying around and I'll buy a VSC Phantom from Wevo with an Undercocking kit and call it good.

If I wanted to get into pump games and wanted a straight up pump gun, what would you recommend? The only name I know is Phantom.

I'd say a Phantom. The other option would be a Sniper II(Pump Cocker), but I think the phantom would be a better choice. You can switch out bodies on them easily to go from stock class to open class.

Check out Wevo

Now I'm no athority on pumps, I've only played a couple times with pumps but I'm going to try and start playing with them more. It should make me better and force me to move around more and move smarter. I won't be able to rely on fire power.

Should be "fun" at practice trying to take out all the "accuracy by volume" guys on our team! lol

Which setup did you guys let me borrow at Ejam/New Breed last sunday?

It was great. I just wish I'd had more time with it.

It was a Super Stock Cocker with a CCM trigger and Pump. Not sure if we told you but it has an auto-trigger. So, all you do is hold the trigger down and pump, everytime the pump goes to the full out position it shoots.

Here's the link for the CCM trigger and pump kit
