Ok everyone, so here I am 58 and decided that I'm just letting my boys have way too much fun so it's time to go out and join the fun. Seen lots of gear out there and I've got to say some of it is pretty impressive. What I havn't seen is much gear resembling what I used back in the days although it does seem to be available. What I'm thinking of is something like the M69 Grenade launcher. I used to be pretty good with one of those at one time. Seems like it's made for things like the nerf rocket and I'm wondering if someone with a good sense of woodscraft and a flair for inderect fire might be able to ruin the day for a few people hunkered down in a trench or behind a barricade. Can you lob these things skyward to get over obstacles or are they anti tank as they say only?

The other thing I'm thinking about is a pump shotgun. OK in case you've guessed I'm not someone to interested in the newest and most glorious equipment that's out there but more someone that thinks there is still a place for someone with good woodscraft and tactical sense.

Looking for any and all comments people, I havn't seen any of this stuff actually used in my area, it's all mostly the more modern gear and I'm thinking that throwing a backwards glance at things into the mix just might be a fun way to go.

Thanks to everyone in advance

The only launchers that are available right now are the JCS nerf launchers. They shoot the nerf rockets and depending on game rules you can shoot bunkers and eliminate the players inside said bunker. They're also used for taking out tanks.

There was a M203 style grenade launcher made by a company called Scepter but the company went under. That one actually fired paint grenades.

This one is supposed to be released soon, it's manufactured by a company called Metadyne. They make GOOD stuff. Aside from the paintball products they actually produce real firearm parts too. Here's a pic. This is designed as a front loading 2" nerf launcher.

They other styles are Airsoft grenade launchers. I'm sure with some modifications they could be used to fire Nerf rounds.

As for a "shotgun" that actually fires multiple paintballs, alot fields have rules against. Alot of places want one trigger pull and one shot. That doesn't happen all the time with ramping modes and all but; what are you gonna do!

I'd had seen a marker or two out there that shot sabbot rounds for the shotgun effect but they wanted $$$$$$$$$$ for them. I doubt they sold many for the price they were asking.

Hope that helped some! :D

Hey Man,
As for grenade launchers, we do have an M69 that will shoot paintballs. It uses a 40mm shell that you put paint in. (Sorta turns into a shot gun) but with the one shell you are able to shoot the nerf rocket out. Here are the links!

Hey dudes, here's one that will blow a lot of people's minds. There's a way you can take both the launcher...or any marker-mounted launcher...and one of those RAP grenades that UrbanOpsArmory out links to in the post above mine and turn it into a fairly "lethal" anti-personnel weapon. I can't remeber who originally came up with this idea but it was a member of the old MILSOG site before it went belly-up.

Anyway, you take the RAP grenade and remove the brass section that you'd normally be able to load ONLY 4 paintballs into. Charge the propellant section of the grenade and insert it into the launcher like you would normally. Next, take a Dixie drink cup and cut it from the brim to the base at four intervals of equal length. The base of this cup is 40mm and will act as a "wad" like in a shotgun shell. Insert the modified cup into the launcher and last but not least, follow it with a water balloon full of your favorite brand of paint mix.
